Kooyoora Park Retreat, the heart of Kooyoora Country and hideout of the famous Captain Melville, is a fully serviced, self contained one bedroom flat, set on 78 acres on the south ridge of Mt. Kooyoora and surrounded by thousands of acres of lovely bushland. Kooyoora Park Retreat is ideally situated in the Goldfields district of Victoria, off the Cobb & Co Coach route. Proprietors Barb and Ian Collie came for a visit in 1989 fell in love with the area and never left. They enjoy the quality life style so much they want to share it with others and so Kooyoora Park Retreat was established in 2003. While staying at the Retreat in complete luxury, you can enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings and be amazed by the wonderful variety of wildlife in their natural habitats.

The ardent horse lover will thoroughly enjoy the bush riding which is unsurpassable. Walk or ride through some of the most magnificent scenery throughout the Kooyoora State Park and the renowned Melville Cave region. For the wine lover the Retreat is only 7 minutes drive through lovely Kooyoora Country to our magnificent local wineries. For the bird lover, over 150 species of bird life have been documented just on the property. This region offers the clearest skies for those who love astronomy, we even supply a 76mm telescope with a magnification of 200X . For the nature lover, a camp site is also situated on the property.

Those who just want to relax and chill out can do so in complete privacy, have a lovely spa, be pampered, enjoy a relaxation massage (arrangements made when booking).
